Help us put Clean Indoor Air on the ballot in Mesquite!
The majority of Mesquite City Council members have refused to even debate a local ordinance that would make our indoor public spaces smokefree.
So, we're taking the issue directly to local voters!
This Election Day, Mesquite citizens will have the power to make all indoor public areas smokefree.
But first we need to gather enough voter signatures to place the issue on the November ballot.
That means it's time for all of us to get to work! Can you help us gather signatures from Mesquite voters? Sign up as a volunteer here.
Our volunteer signature-gatherers will collect signatures from voters in pubic places and at community events over the next few months.
This process is more complicated than simply collecting names of friends. Signatures must be gathered on a special petition form and the signatures must be approved and verified to count.
We'll provide a specialized training on how to do this work soon. But, for now, please sign up! We need folks willing to help so we can get started right away!
